Plot: The motor-mouth Nathan (Moises Arias), the tough inner-city girl Kelly (Jaylen Barron), the rich party girl Alisha (Odeya Rush), the athletic Curtis (Jonathan Daviss), the shy Simon (Charlie Tahan) and Gary (Richie Merritt) all sit in a row in the gymnasium of the run-down Mariners Harbor Community Center in Staten Island, New York. They are being given an orientation lecture on their community service requirements by their probation officer Tony (Theo Rossi). As Tony gives his spiel, we see flashes of the crimes they committed to wind up there:

- Nathan runs away from a bowling alley security driver with a stolen pitcher of beer. He tries to drink as much as he can as he runs away until he trips and falls.

- Curtis is caught with a bag of cocaine at a nightclub. As he is led into the back of a police car, people outside the club recognize him as a local college basketball star.

- Simon is attempting to set fire to his neighbor's house, but his lighter won't work. The family that lives in the house then returns home and catches him in the act.

- Alisha is drunk and crashes her BMW into a row of parked cars. She tries to drive away, but crashes into a tree.

- Kelly catches her boyfriend cheating on her. She goes outside and throws a cinder block through his car's windshield.

- Gary is caught dealing ecstasy at his high school's prom by a pair of school resource officers.

Tony then gives them all sponges and buckets and tells them to start washing the graffiti off the side of the community center. While outside working, Nathan makes fun of the sad excuse of a mustache Gary is trying to grow. Gary attacks Nathan. Tony and Curtis block Gary, and Tony tells him to head back inside to cool off. Tony then yells at Nathan to get back to work. A freak storm suddenly emerges overhead. Simon begins filming the storm on his phone when a giant bolt of lightning strikes right into the middle of the group.

When they recover from the close call with the lightning, Curtis decides stops working, insisting he doesn't want to strain his shoulder muscles scrubbing too hard. The others all take a break as well. Tony says he's going inside to take a piss, but they all better be back up and working by the time he comes back out. Kelly is startled when she hears a voice talking about how much his balls itch. She asks the guys if they said anything, but they all shake their heads no. She then turns around and notices a dog nearby trying to reach an itch. She asks the others if any of them hear the dog talking. They all give her strange looks, but say nothing - she however can hear their thoughts calling her bonkers. Curtis starts flirting with Alisha. When he touches her though, he suddenly is overcome by the urge to have sex with her, but when she pushes him off the urge goes away. As they discuss the abilities the two girls now have, Simon suddenly turns invisible for a few moments. As they begin getting back to work, Curtis accidentally steps in the dog's shit. Time suddenly rewinds to 10 seconds earlier. He walks around the shit this time. He announces to the others that he can rewind time, explaining how he avoided the dog shit the second time around. Nathan then begins complaining that he doesn't have any powers.

Inside the restroom, Gary is smoking a joint. Tony happens to smell the weed and begins beating down the bathroom stall door with his barehands. He grabs Gary by the throat and throws him across the restroom.

"I think I am an interesting audience for this as I have never watched the UK version but heard alot about it. I am liking the cast here, this looks like a fun group of actors. The Pilot left me a bit disappointed, I think I would have liked to see a little bit more of the kids lives before the shenanigans to get a better understanding of their background. Apart from that I think it did a fine job and I would watch more episodes." - Ryan Hughman, Streetlight Publications

"I don’t think I have ever met more unlikable characters in my entire life, and I sat through a lot of Conn films. When the one person who is somewhat respectable is trying to light his house on fire? That’s not a good sign." - Mitchell Parker, New York Times

"This Americanized Misfits is a pretty faithful adaptation of the original UK series - at least so far in the pilot. There was plenty of humor in this first half-hour episode and it set up the tone and characters pretty well in a small amount of time." - Justin Rodriguez, Detroit Free Press
