The Roundup with Jeff Stockton (Season 24 Round 4)

Following what might be the worst round in LRF history at the box office, things can only go up from here. Here's The Roundup....

3. Next Round
After how rough this round ended up, everybody should be hopeful that next round will turn out better.

2. Her Dying Wish
I didn't love it, but it was the brightest spot of a rough round for the studio as a decent little drama.

1. Jenna Ortega
I honestly had no idea who Ortega was going into Her Dying Wish. She surprised and impressed me though. Now, I'm not sure if she's going to be a superstar, but she is a charismatic young performer.

3. Inner Demons
Some of the other reviews mentioned this, but Inner Demons fails as a horror film because there isn't anything scary in it. Other films in the Drama/Horror genre have succeeded in the past - Black Hole comes to mind - but that film received much better reviews and did actually have several scary, creepy and unsettling scenes.

2. Box Office
I cannot think of another round in LRF history that was as anemic at the box office as this one. The worldwide box office barely broke $100 million and the losses were pretty big even with Her Dying Wish making a small profit.

1. Police Story: Brother
I don't actually hate the story to Police Story: Brother, but it doesn't fit in with the other three Police Story films Meirad Tako wrote at all.
