Reaction: Definitely not the outcome we were hoping for from this one. The Drama/Horror combination has historically proven to be a risky one at the box office.
"Inner Demons is completely devoid of anything scary, creepy or even moderately spooky. For a film with horror in the genre, this is a death sentence. The story moves along at a snail's pace and the characters and their actions are sure to frustrate audiences." - Robert Avery, San Jose Mercury
“It may be a bit too long and too focused on backstories, but when Inner Demons focuses on harrowing scares and leans in on Thomasin Mackenzie and Noah Jupin’s acting abilities, Inner Demons does it’s job well. I will say, it should scare you off of becoming an alcoholic if nothing else.” - Mitchell Parker, New York Times
"Talented actresses Thomasin McKenzie and Hayley Atwell give good (but wasted) performances and Noah Jupe is more annoying than usual. There are slow burn films, and then there are films that move slower than molasses like Inner Demons. It is a lot of build-up for not much of a pay off, playing like a short film stretched out too thin to feature length." - Tim Givens, Lexington Ledger
Rated R for violence, language and thematic material
