Plot: Nathan (Moises Arias), Kelly (Jaylen Barron) and Simon (Charlie Tahan) all put on their headphones and crank their music up to full volume in order to stage a rescue mission to get Alisha (Odeya Rush) and Curtis (Jonathan Daviss). They split up to try to find them in the halls of the community center where the Virtue group led by Rachel (Stefanie Scott) are holding their meeting. Kelly finds Alisha and tries to convince her that she is brainwashed. Alisha touches Kelly's hand, which makes Kelly forget about their mission and try to have sex with Alisha. A group of preppy Virtue members come and drag Kelly away. Meanwhile, Nathan and Simon are cornered by Rachel and a dozen Virtue members. Simon turns invisible and escapes. Nathan begins yelling profanities at the group to buy himself a moment. He then notices a garbage chute. He manages to slide down it due to his small frame and escape the community center.

Nathan goes to Kelly's apartment to see if she made it out of the community center, but finds her dressing in her preppiest clothes, clearly having been brainwashed by Rachel. Nathan is disappointed. He says that Kelly was a bitch before, but he kind of liked it. He gives her a kiss on the cheek and runs away.

Nathan dresses himself in a suit and cleans himself up so that he can pass as a Virtue member. He sneaks into the community center, putting his earbuds in as he enters the building and confronts Rachel in the office. When Virtue members show up to defend her, Nathan pulls out a gun and takes Rachel hostage. He takes her up to the roof of the community center. He tries to make her change everyone back to normal, pointing out that all of the Invasion of the Body Snatchers remakes have proved that the original is always the best and the same rule applies to people as well. While he is making the analogy, Rachel notices that Nathan's gun is a water pistol spraypainted black. She tries to take the gun from him, but he pushes her off the roof of the building. She falls headfirst into the pavement below. Her death frees her hold over everyone, and that all go back to normal. Nathan begins dancing on the rooftop in celebration, but he slips off and falls down. He is impaled on an iron fence below, killing him.

At Nathan's funeral, Louise (Alanna Ubach) bawls uncontrollably. The misfits all go up to view and pay their respects to Nathan's body. Curtis wonders why he wasn't able to turn back time to save him. Alisha doesn't seem to be affected by Nathan's death at all. Kelly cries. Simon looks closely at Nathan and says that Nathan looks like less of an asshole now that he is dead.

After Nathan's coffin is buried at the cemetery, the misfits suggest they go and have some beers in Nathan's honor. That night, Nathan regains consciousness in his coffin. He proclaims that he has a power after all - he's "fucking immortal". His excitement is shortlived when he realizes that he's trapped in a buried coffin. Nathan tries to call out for help, but everybody has left the cemetery already. Meanwhile, Simon, Kelly, Alisha and Curtis all sit by the water at Mariners Harbor and drink beers, toasting Nathan.

"The creative team took a bit of time to settle down and get comfortable with storylines and the characters and I think it shows while the show is well made and all but I don't think I got excited to watch what's gonna happen until episode 4. After that time the fun comes a bit more easy. I think the season finale villain could have been introduced a little early so we could spend a bit more time with it. With all it's flaws it has an odd charm to itself that will bring me back for season 2." - Ryan Hughman, Streetlight Publications

"Well, good news. The characters got better. The bad news? Only one of them is likable (Simon). I respect what Newton was trying to do with this series, but there was just far too many unlikable moments for me to warrant a positive review. Hopefully, the next season will further develop these misfits." - Mitchell Parker, New York Times

"While this season followed the British series fairly closely, the change from hour-long to a half-hour format makes it feel very different. There's less padding here, resulting in a fast-paced, funny series. It may not be for everyone, but I liked it quite a bit." - Justin Rodriguez, Detroit Free Press
