At the end of the film Sally takes a selfie of the three of them to post it on instagram. The line does not take well and Maria advises her to get closer to the window because the line takes better. In fact, at that point of the house she manages to post the photo. Sally looks up and gets scared because she seems to see a shadow moving in the garden. Maria and Rebecca playfully tease her by saying there is nothing. Rebecca then sits down on the floor and says it would be fun to tell some horror stories. The three friends decided to turn off their cell phones for a while so as not to be disturbed.
THE WOMAN IN THE MIRROR
It is July, the weather is very hot and dry. Ryan Gardner (Nick Robinson) is a young boy who recently bought an apartment. The clock in the wall strikes the time 0.01. Ryan is playing a basketball video game on his Play Station when suddenly lightning struck near his apartment. A moment later it began to rain heavily and a cool breeze began to enter the apartment as Ryan opened the window to check the situation. The boy decided to keep the window open to cool the apartment and went to bed. Ryan closed his eyes but the rain showers, thunderstorms and wind were quite loud. Ryan opened his eyes and looked around taking a look at all the objects in his room, the wardrobe, the cabinet where the TV was placed, the old mirror attached to the wall. The faint light that came from outside almost gave a different shape to all these objects. Suddenly another lightning bolt more powerful than the previous one illuminated the whole room making the boy glimpse something strange. Ryan jumped in fright and jumped out of bed and immediately turned on the light. Ryan was sure he saw something in the mirror and stared at it. Suddenly another flash and then lightning rumbled and the current went out. For a moment Ryan had seen something in the mirror. It was a woman (Adelaide Kane) wearing a red-stained nightgown, with black hair and probably blood dripping from her eyes. Ryan on the one hand thought he had had a little suggestion but on the other hand he was sure of what he had seen. The boy then walked around the apartment making sure that no one was there. At that point he opens the fridge and drinks a beer in small sips trying to calm down. Then he decided to remove the mirror and put it in the closet and later tried to sleep, without success. The next morning Ryan went to the bathroom and showered. When he comes out of the shower, while he is drying his face with the towel, he takes a look at the mirror in front of it and the same woman from the previous night was looking at him. This time it was all real and it couldn't be a dream. The situation was disturbing and Ryan noticed other details he hadn't noticed the previous night like a dark lipstick on the woman's lips and a streak of blood falling from her lips. Ryan was almost paralyzed, almost unable to move and speak. The woman was initially until she suddenly started moving her lips. No sound came from it but the woman continued to move her lips in a marked manner giving an even more sinister aspect. It almost looked like the woman was trying to communicate with Ryan. Ryan was terrified, he was leaning with his back against the wall, and kept staring at the woman's mouth, who seemed to repeat the same phrase over and over. At a certain point she stopped talking, her lips tightened again and then with a sudden movement of her right hand she pointed the index finger towards the boy, with a furious expression. Ryan escaped from the bathroom and found himself out of the apartment running around the building. He also met a lady on the stairs who glared at him. For a couple of days he did not enter the apartment and went to sleep with his parents telling them that they were doing some work on his building. Then he decided to go back there, having Karen (Cassady McClinchy) accompany him with an apology. Karen was a girl he had half a romantic relationship with. By cooking a leisurely dinner with her, Ryan almost forgot the disturbing story that was going on. He made Karen sit in the chair pretending to be the waiter who brings the plate to the customer until he took a look at the small mirror that was at the entrance. The woman was there and was looking at him. Ryan jumped and dropped the plate to the floor. Karen turns behind her and sees nothing strange and then approaches Ryan who in the meantime had cut himself with a broken plate. He continued to look in the mirror, stammering. Then he gets up and tells Karen that he was sorry he screwed it up. The girl pushes him onto the sofa saying not to worry and starts unbuttoning his blouse, stroking his hair. The two begin to kiss but Ryan looks confused and continues to look in the mirror. After a while the girl bursts out scolding the boy thinking that she was not attracted to her and leaves slamming the door while she buttons her blouse despite Ryan trying to explain and apologize. The woman in the mirror seemed to be careful not to be seen by anyone but him. The boy was standing there on the sofa with his hands in his hair not knowing what to do. He had even seemed to him that woman reflected in the glass above the table. From that moment the situation only began to worsen, the woman began to reveal herself on all the mirrors and glass in the apartment. The ritual was always the same, voiceless words, angry eyes and forefinger pointing to Ryan. Ryan thought that if she wanted to hurt him she would have done it already but couldn't figure out what she wanted from him. Ryan then puts the apartment up for sale. One Sunday while he was in the bathroom to cut his beard, or rather to cut his face since his eyes could not detach themselves from the figure of the woman who was in the mirror in front of him. At one point Ryan had an idea, he closed the door and window and turned on the hot water tap as long as the water was boiling and he waited with half of his face shaved and the other still covered in foam. Soon the bathroom mirror was covered in condensation and misted with the woman slowly disappearing. Ryan yelled at the mirror saying "What do you want from me?" After a few seconds of silence, suddenly, an imperceptible noise began to spread throughout the room, becoming louder and louder. It was the classic screeching noise of the finger moving on the glass, which in this case almost sounded like a moan. Slowly letters began to appear on the window and slowly formed a sentence. At the end it said "Put it back in its place". Ryan initially didn't understand but then he went to the closet and put the old mirror back in its place. At that point the woman revealed herself again, this time with a more serene and relieved face. Then she showed the boy some short pictures. Ryan found that that woman was killed while she was pregnant many years ago in front of that mirror while she was putting on makeup. The baby in her womb, on the other hand, was miraculously saved and managed to be born. The mirror was then sold several times until it arrived in that apartment. The woman then pointed to the window from which, from that point, one could see the window of the apartment building opposite. Ryan noticed a lady with black hair. The woman in the mirror made it clear with a movement of the arms that mimicked the cradling of a newborn that that woman was her daughter and from that precise point where the mirror was resting she could observe her a little in her daily activities. Ryan sat excitedly on the sofa while the woman mimicked the gesture of calling someone. Ryan smiled saying he understood and phoned Karen apologizing and arranging an appointment.
At the end of the story, Sally's eyes are tinged with emotion while Maria says the story was beautiful but not scary. At that moment they hear a light knock on the door. Sally goes to see but no one seems to be there. She says it was probably the wind and then goes back to sit next to her friends. Then with his elbow he touches Sally's side making her understand that it's her turn. After a few moments of hesitation she says that she has one in mind and begins to tell it.
DEEP WEB
Steve (Logan Miller) is a somewhat introverted boy who lives in a small town near the sea. Steve doesn't have a great social life and spends a lot of free time chatting on the internet. She loves the horror genre and since she was a teenager she has always looked for forums and sites that talked about that topic. He has also found various friends with whom he often chats about urban legends, unsolved murders and disturbing cases. These friends of his seemed to be even more interested in these topics than he was. One evening the nickname Urban Maniac, one of the most active on those sites posted a video. Steve takes a look at the hour which was 0.02. To access the video it was not enough to just click but you had to carry out the instructions that Urban Maniac had attached. Steve realized that it must be a video from the deep web. For a moment he was tempted to turn off the PC and go to bed but in the end he decided to follow the instructions. Eventually Steve was directed to a completely black page with a video in the center. After a moment's hesitation, the boy hit play. The video started showing a very beautiful girl (Samara Weaving). Steve reflexively paused to look at her better for a few seconds. Then he started the video again. The girl was gorgeous, she had long, blonde and wavy hair. The eyes were blue and deep and attracted Steve from the first glance. Steve was hoping to find such a girl sooner or later. Steve soon realized that the girl appeared to be very scared, almost terrified. Steve began to feel uncomfortable. The cameraman (Wes Bentley) moved backwards, the two standing on a completely empty beach. The girl wore an off-white dress that was torn in various places. The girl also had bruises on her body. Suddenly there was the dark, mocking voice of a man saying "Run!" A tear fell on the woman's face begging the cameraman to let her go. Then looking at the camera she said that if anyone was watching her they had to do something to help her. The girl began to back away falling to the ground on a couple of occasions while crying. At the same time the cameraman continued to follow her, mocking her. Steve was getting more and more uncomfortable and his heart was beating faster and faster. Meanwhile, Steve's phone was receiving various notifications from friends in the chat, who, like him, were watching the video. Some were amazed, others bewildered and others amused because they believed it was a fake movie. Steve was glued to watching the video, which was always going on the same way, with the girl who was desperately looking for a non-existent escape route in that immense empty beach. Suddenly the cameraman turned the camera towards him. The man was wearing a mask but you could see his evil grin. Then he said he would now give his gift to the highest bidder. The man ran to the girl and quickly dropped her to the ground. The man started to hurt her many times with a screwdriver. The camera showed all the shots, almost giving Steve the impression that he was holding that screwdriver. Finally he killed her by piercing her right eye. Her screams stopped at that moment. Then he dragged her and threw her into a hole in the sand that he had probably dug earlier. Crabs had already begun to cover the girl. Meanwhile, Steve had stood up, had his hands on his head and had almost vomited when the screwdriver had pierced the girl's eye. He was used to horror movies, but that footage seemed too realistic. The cameraman then turned the camera towards himself and started talking. Steve was always on his feet and kept looking, sorry he didn't save her and instead of just being there watching. Suddenly the cameraman changed his attitude, he was terrified. The camera fell to the ground with the frame remaining fixed on the sea. In the background noises and screams could be heard louder and louder until all of a sudden everything stopped. Seconds later the camera lifted off the ground and approached the hole in the sand. Inside there was no longer the girl's body, but the man's. Then the camera turned one last time. The girl was there, without an eye and from the eye socket there were small crabs peeking out. Suddenly, with an unnatural smile, he said a few simple words. "Thanks for helping me, we'll see you soon." Then the screen went all black. Steve kept wondering if this was all true and picked up his cell phone to read his chat friends' messages. At one point user Urban Maniac wrote that the video was part of an old Live Streaming on the Deep Web in which the highest bidder had decided how to kill the girl. Finally he wrote that it seems that all those who had attended the live video had mysteriously disappeared. Finally Urban Maniac wrote that he had never watched the video and to be careful. Then Urban Maniac left the chat and never wrote again. Steve closed the chat quickly. Over the next few days Steve began to be bothered by nightmares during the nights that girl appeared before him. Also he lived in a village near the sea and this gave him a slight anxiety. On the other hand, however, that video gives him an input to start going out more and trying to get to know real people. One morning he also meets a cute girl named Cindy at the exit of a supermarket. The girl said she had recently moved and they exchanged phone numbers. In the afternoon Steve while looking in the mirror looking at his not very beautiful body decided to start jogging. He changes, puts on his headphones and leaves the house. Steve at one point started running on the road that runs along the coast. At one point down the steps leading to the beach without knowing why. He found himself in the sand, very tired. He remembered the sequence from the video. Steve started looking around taking off his earphones. The beach didn't look like the one in the video, there was a stairway to the right, a slope to the left and even some people in the distance. Steve sat down to catch his breath enjoying a light breeze. After a few moments, however, something strange began to happen. The stairway and the slope were gone, the cliff top almost vanished. In front of Steve there was only a huge stretch of sand. The people were gone too, except for one. In the rocks there is a sinuous figure that resembles a girl, the hair is blond and she wears a white dress. Steve is almost stuck and can't move anymore. The girl leaves the rocks and begins to approach him. The last image portrays a hole where you can hear the sound of small claws that beat rhythmically.
The two girls gasped at the end of the story to look at their friend, unable to believe that sweet and shy Sally made up such a cruel and mean story. Then a few bangs on the window caught their attention. The rain was pouring and the wind raging. However, the camera shows a detail that the girls have not noticed, a print of two hands on the glass of the window. Then Mary began to tell her story.
PASSENGER
It's night, a man, Mark Campbell (Jai Courtney) is at a gas station in the middle of nowhere, filling up the tank of his car. As long as he looks around he sees in the dim light of a neon light that works intermittently a person sitting on the ground. Suddenly the person gets up and starts walking towards him. Mark understands almost immediately that it is a young girl (Kathryn Newton). The girl arrives near the man greeting him shyly saying her name is Alice and asking if he had a cigarette to give her. The man makes a joke that if he did it would all explode. The girl smiles embarrassed. The man screws the tank cap and then gives the cigarette to the girl moving a few meters. The girl started smoking by adjusting the shoulder strap of her shirt. Meanwhile, Mark watched her. In his mind he thought he was asking her what she was doing there all alone but in the end he didn't ask her anything. Suddenly she asked him where he was headed. Mark replied that he was heading north, although that wasn't entirely true. Then she asked him if he could give her a lift. Mark hesitated to answer and as he thought of a nice way to refuse she added "Only until the end of the road, it's not far from here, please." It gave Mark the impression that there was a sense of despair in that voice and a strange terror in his eyes. Eventually he accepted. Five minutes later Mark was on the freeway with a young girl in the passenger seat staring out the window at the distant city lights. There was an awkward silence, neither of us said a word in those five minutes. Suddenly Mark asked her if everything was ok. After a few seconds the girl turned to him for a moment, nodding and then turned again to continue staring at the window. It started to rain. The drops of water on the windows looked like blood under the red light of the traffic light. There was a creak from the windshield and the girl jumped. The girl suddenly comes to life and tells Mark to turn right. Mark did as requested and found himself driving down a dark street with many abandoned houses with broken glass nearby. The man begins to worry until Alice tells him that it is close by indicating a point with the index and saying that there is a light. He pointed to a precise spot from the window but Mark saw no lights but only other abandoned houses and warehouses. At one point he actually noticed that there was a light in the distance. The man began to feel less paranoid and worried as he approached. When he got close he saw that it was a sign, a red triangle in reverse, perhaps it belonged to a nightclub. They approached the mysterious building while the little girl continued to thank Mark. She got out of the car and closed the door firmly. She ran to the door and knocked, it was immediately opened and the darkness swallowed her. A moment later the red sign went out making that place equal to all the others along that road. Mark sighed in relief and thought I just had to find a way to turn the car into that dark, narrow street, back down that street and back onto the main one. "Nothing easier," he said, giggling to himself. He began to follow it until he found some kind of intersection and I made a U-turn. As he was about to turn back the headlights shone something on the road, just in front of that house where the girl had entered. Mark braked abruptly. A strange hooded figure was standing there, in the darkness. He kept standing still, in the rain, like a statue. Then he slowly began to approach Mark. Mark railed against that situation and started to reverse until he noticed that there were many other hooded figures behind him. It was then that something hit the window and a song began to be heard. It came from all directions, getting stronger and stronger. Mark was almost dazed for a few moments from that song until the window panes ended up on him. Mark looked around and got a better look at the hooded figures. He could see a glow from the pupils under their hoods. She recognized a face, it was her, Alice. Now it had empty white sockets. At that point they hit the car's headlights leaving Mark in the dark. The chants around Mark were getting louder and more annoying. "We never sleep," sang the voices. "We never wake up." “We never sleep. We never wake up. We don't sleep. We do not wake up. ". Mark was dragged out of the car forcefully into the rain. Mark squirms unsuccessfully screaming. His screams, however, are submerged by the chant of those figures. Mark looked up, saw the red triangle again, like a pyramid in the sky. The doors opened and he was also swallowed by the darkness.
At the exact moment the story ends, a loud thunder startled the three girls. Then they laughed with amusement. The girls were tired and decided to go to sleep upstairs. As Maria was about to fall asleep she remembered that strangely none of them had turned on their cell phones. Maria turned on her phone as Rebecca and Sally fell asleep next to her. Hundreds of notifications and videos started popping up on her mobile. As all this flowed his face was more and more 'terrified. At one point he throws his cell phone on the bed saying "Fuck! The back door!" and runs towards the stairs waking up at that moment her two friends who look confused. The camera shows Maria's cell phone. There were videos and news reports of how a mysterious epidemic had arisen that evening and had infected many people by turning them into zombie-like creatures hungry for human flesh. Maria ran down the stairs to the back door but found it wide open. Footsteps stained with mud showed how someone had entered the house. Maria backs away in fear as a growling figure appears behind her.
