Harry Mason continues making his way through Silent Hill, walking toward the sounds of the church bells. Along the way he walks past the town electronic store. Every television in the window shows staticy footage of Cheryl (Quinn Copeland) He finally arrives at Balkan Church, a rundown Christian church. Harry enters the building where he finds Dahlia Gillespie (Ivana Milicevic) praying before an altar. Harry aims his gun at her and asks who she is. Dahlia tells Harry that Silent Hill is being devoured by darkness before giving him the Flauros - a gold, pyramid-shaped object. She claims the object is a cage of peace that can be used to counteract the wrath of the underworld. Dahlia then tells Harry that if he wants to find his daughter, he should proceed immediately to the hospital. Dahlia then leaves the church.

Harry makes his way to Alchemilla Hospital. He sees lights on inside from the street. Harry hurries inside where he encounters Dr. Michael Kaufman (Lochlyn Munro) sitting alone in an examination room with a gun in his hands. Michael fires a shot as he is startled by Harry. Once Harry is able to convince Michael that he is not a monster, Michael calms down. The lights in the room begin to flicker. Michael quickly hides under a desk. Everything around Harry shifts back to the dark version of Silent Hill. Harry explores the hospital where he is attacked by monstrous a monstrous Puppet Nurse. Harry is rescued by a young nurse, Lisa Garland (Grace Van Dien), who kills the Puppet Nurse. Harry asks Lisa about what is going on. She insists that she fell asleep during her break and when she woke up the hospital was in a deserted state, then it became the twisted vision they are currently in. The world then shifts back its deserted state and Lisa is nowhere to be seen.

As Harry explores the hospital, looking for other survivors, he encounters Dahlia again. She insists that he is wasting time and asks if he wants the darkness to devour the whole town. She runs away as Michael comes out from hiding and tells Harry that he has a chemical - Aglaophotis - that may help them with the evil that is surrounding them. Michael tells Harry that he is off to the motel to collect it and wishes Harry luck.

When Harry leaves the hospital he runs into Cybil Bennett. She chastises him for leaving the diner, but informs him that she has good news: she saw a girl out by the lake. The pair cut through Green Lion Antiques Store to get to the next street after the road is blocked. Inside the store they find a secret altar that appears to have been used by some sort of occult group. Harry suddenly disappears from Cybil's sight, much to her confusion.

Harry finds himself back in the hospital with Lisa. He tells her that he needs to get to the lake as soon as possible and asks her for directions. She tells him how to get there, but when he asks her to come along, she tells him that she feelts that she is not supposed to leave the hospital. Harry thanks Lisa and leaves the hospital to follow her directions.
