In Development

 
The Flash #2: The Flash sequel has rounded out its live action cast with the addition of Alan Kim (Minari). The big news though is that Morgan Freeman (The Giver, Mr. Big) and Delroy Lindo (The Harder They Fall, Da 5 Bloods) will be lending their voices to the project as advanced "meta-gorillas": Solovar and Grodd, respectively. Jonathan Levine directs from a script by Chad Taylor.

Police Story: Brother:
Mark Rylance (The Case Against 8, Firestorm) and Josh Lucas (Task Force X: Chaos and Madness, That Was Then This Is Now) have joined Meirad Tako's prequel to the Police Story series. Rylance and Lucas will play the two father figures of the main characters.

Inner Demons:
Megan Fox (The Crow: Wings of Isaiah, AGOS: A Game of Survival) and Logan Marshall-Green (Resident Evil 3, Crush) will complete the casting of Inner Demons. Marshall-Green will play the violent boyfriend of Hayley Atwell's character, while Fox will play a friend. Jon Watts directs from a script by Andrew Doster.

Her Dying Wish: Jenna Ortega (X, Scream) and Ben Barnes (Resident Evil 3, Sunny Days) will headline Her Dying Wish, the second film from writer Sammy-Jo Ellis (So This Is What It Feels Like). Ortega will play a young woman who reconnects with her father following the death of ther mother. Lena Dunham (Catherine Called Birdy, Sharp Stick) directs the film.

Shoe Dog: Andrew Garfield (Worried Mind, Circumstances of Time) has been cast to play Nike founder Phil Knight in a biopic from director Bennett Miller (The King of Hearts, Sunny Days) and writer Wyatt Allen (Camp Manhood, Whaling). Joining Garfield right now will be JK Simmons (Extra Ordinary, Winter's Displeasure) and Paul Dano (Maria, But What Am I?). Simmons will play Bill Bowerman, a University of Oregon track coach who partners with Knight, while Dano will play the company's first salesman.

The Vacationers: Kyle Chandler (Poison Ivy, Walker), Jennifer Connelly (Deprogramming, Parasite) and Haley Lu Richardson (Camp Manhood, Teen Titans) are set to star in The Vacationers, an adaptation of the novel by Emma Straub. Chandler and Connelly will play a married couple who go on a family vacation to an island off of Spain. Richardson will play their college-bound daughter. Jodie Foster (The Beaver, Money Monster) has signed on to direct the film from a script by Rosie JoLove (The Boy in the Suitcase, Excellent Women).
