Gossip Rag (Season 24)

In this new seasonal segment, GOSSIP RAG, we will delve into the inside dirt on some of the latest and upcoming LRF releases and the studio's stars....

Jared Leto
The A-List star once again dove into method acting style for his latest film, the hit erotic thriller Natural Selection. For his role as the son of a publishing tycoon (played by Warren Beatty), Leto actually got a job as an editor for an unnamed top New York publishing company. He has also reportedly still worked for the company periodically, even following the successful release of Natural Selection. Will Leto quit  acting to pursue this new field or is he simply trying to add another hyphenate to actor-musician  (actor-musician-book editor....)?

Timothee Chalamet
Timothee Chalamet's handlers have reportedly held a meeting with the young star after his latest film, Citizen, turned into another box office flop. They are worried that the bad press surrounding the film's failure (as well as other films the actor has chosen to star in) are going to start to tarnish Chalamet's star value and overall brand and have requested that he be more selective in choosing roles in the future. Only time will tell if the young actor will listen to the advice of his management, or if he will end up starring in Hippies in New York 2.

Madelaine Petsch
The actress plays Barbara Gordon/Batgirl for the sixth time in Birds of Prey, but she has reportedly grown restless over the seasons as Robin got his own film before she did despite fewer film appearances. When she was presented with the script for Birds of Prey, Petsch agreed to star in the film.... but only if the studio produced a Batgirl solo film in the near future as well. The studio caved into the GRA-winner/diva's demand, and a Batgirl film will be released next season.

Zach McGowan
While not a huge name yet, Zach McGowan has found himself in high demand due to his roles in two blockbuster franchises: X-Men and Red Sonja. With production of sequels in both series due out this season, he found himself unable to have starring roles in either. He has worked with the studio and the productions to ensure he can appear in both films, but it is expected that he will have a smaller presence in both films (X-Men: Sinister and Red Sonja: Blood + Bone) than originally planned by the filmmakers and than the actor originally desired.

Adam Driver
Adam Driver has reportedly become a source of frustration on the set of his next film, Undefeated Abe. The star has been cast as a young, wrestling Abraham Lincoln in the project. After working with Jared Leto on House of Gucci, Driver has decided to mix in method acting aspects to his own style on this film, resulting in the actor frequently challenging members of the cast and crew to wrestling matches that have slowed down the shooting schedule and exasperated the usual calm demeanor of director Ron Howard.
