Gabi (Alejandra Howard) paces back and forward in her room, anxiously looking at her phone. Her brother Pablo (Ravi Cabot-Conyers) sneaks up behind her in an attempt to scare her, only for Barney (Dean Wendt) to come to life and startle them both. It's there we learn of Gabi's plight. She just started an account on Immedifriend and she has no idea where to start. Barney starts by showing Gabi some of the stupendous things you can do while you're online, such as uploading videos about life, play games, create fun cartoons, or endearing songs. With these ideas in mind, Gabi begins to think about a potential life as an influencer when she gets a message from another, suspicious-sounding person. Barney immediately sounds the alarm, warning Gabi that she should never talk to strangers as they could be dangerous and make you do things you don't want to do. The internet is also home to plenty of sites that kids shouldn't be entering, sites that include overly violent games and unusual content (Or as Pablo calls it, "things that only grownups can see, and even then, its not a good idea"). They also learn about information on the internet and how some websites promote stories intended to scare people. If you see a story like that, you should ask a grownup or an expert on what's really going on. Unsure of what to do next, Gabi finds a chat group involving some of her closest friends in school. Overjoyed, she joins the chat and finds that surfing the web is best when you do it with the friends you love!
