Plot: After another beautiful day at school, Marcie (Miriam Spumpkin) is skipping home with the Barney plushie.. As is protocol during the weekend, one kid gets to go home with Barney (Dean Wendt) for the weekend, this week happens to be her turn! She meets up with Anna (Mykal-Michelle Harris) and the two play for a little bit before Barney comes to life and joins them.

After their game, Anna heads home for the day, and Barney and Marcie meet up with DJ (Brayden Newbern) and Matthew (Roger Dale Floyd). They’re going over to Kairi’s (Sasaki Miyu) house to check up on her as well as bring her the math homework for the week. The reason being is that Kairi has caught the flu. Wanting to help out, Barney and Marcie join them.

Inside her room, Kairi sadly lies on her bed, coughing and sneezing away when her friends and Barney stop by. Kairi expresses her sadness over being sick, especially since she was supposed to go to the carnival this weekend. Feeling sorry for her, Matthew, Marcie, and DJ discuss what to do, coming up with a great idea. If Kairi can’t go to the carnival, they can bring the carnival to her! Even better, they can use the math homework as inspiration.

When Barney asks Kairi if she’d like to go to the carnival, he whisks everyone to a magical place called the carnival of numbers. All throughout the day, the kids and Barney have fun counting forward and backward, especially when BJ (Patty Wirtz) stops by to show everyone how to do the Number Limbo! The kids also learn how to add when getting popcorn, subtract when playing musical chairs and how to use mathematics in everyday life, such as waiting in line to get on the roller coaster. By the end of the day, Kairi is feeling much better, having enjoyed a wonderful time with her friends. But then, any day can be fun when you share it with the people you love.

As they return to real life, Barney returns to being a plush doll. Marcie hands him over to Kairi to keep him company for the night. Overjoyed, Kairi thanks Marcie for her gesture and wishes her goodnight. With Barney by her side, Kairi begins to work on her math homework.
