The third film from writer Walter McKnight, Pocahontas, ended up grossing well over double what his two previous films made - combined. Pocahontas made $544 million while the previous two films (Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Kylie Dates New York City) combined for $217 million.

By failing to turn a profit, E.P. became the first film to lose money out star Leonardo DiCaprio's seven LRF appearances.

On a similar note, this is the first of Chad Taylor's directorial efforts to lose money as well. It is also his most expensive directorial effort, so that may have had something to do with it.
