LRF NOW Original Series: Hollow - Season 1 Episode 1

Hollow
Genre: Adventure/Horror
Executive Producer: Eli Roth
Writer: Jimmy Ellis

Season 1 Episode 1 - Pilot

Cast:
Mads Mikkelsen .... Flynn

Plot: It’s dark, it’s wet, and it’s almost night. The earth is a modern wasteland filled with cannibalistic tribes, enemy territory, and mutated animals of all kinds. Something creaks through the toxic forest, a mutant possum, now the size of a car roams by its lonesome. It sniffs finding little crumbs of human meat, before it can move on its hit by several poisonous arrows. It drops dead as the gas-masked killer (Mads Mikkelsen) breathes heavily, he cuts it and takes small pieces suitable for only him.

After traveling a safe distance, he takes off his mask and drinks a sample of water, before he pours a few drops onto himself. The man’s name is Flynn, and he’s the only person on earth who lives near a desert. He travels for a few minutes heading back to his home. He never speaks, matter of fact he’s never uttered a single word in his life. Flynn passes a dead horse as it’s mauled by starving rats, after hearing a faint screech, he quickly opens the front door to his shelter.

2 hours pass and it’s already 8:30 pm, he’s watered his plants, stored his gear, and cleaned his weapons. Specifically, a rifle he has, he only uses during desperate measures. Flynn puts on new clothes after a quick shower, he closes the windows and lays on his bed. After closing his eyes for a hot minute, he can’t get the sound of screeching outside his shelter, out of his head. Flynn adjusts a pistol next to his bed, puts on headphones, and plays quiet tunes. The next morning Flynn takes a boat and travels across a lake, after taking a small dose of water, he shoots and kills a fish the size of his waist. He puts it away and heads to the desert wasteland nearby, not noticing something walking in the forest to his left.

"Hollow is an excellent, small-budget idea that could spawn a franchise. Mads creates a perfect mysterious action hero who could be one of the most fantastic action characters if made carefully and cleverly. Even if every episode feels too short, I look forward to the next, which works with LRF Now's strategy." - Mitch Ramsey, NerdWire

"Despite the dark and harrowing subject matter, Hollow makes for quick, easy, harmless viewing. In a day when TV shows have become more complicated than necessary, a show like Hollow feels like an update to a simpler time of television." - Dave Manning, Ridgefield Press
FRESH

"Even though the pilot of Hollow is short in length, some how the story still seems to move at the speed of a snail on sleeping pills. There's some vivid imagery, but not enough story." - Jack Sebastian, Fox News
