Once Upon a Time in Greenwich Village: Thomas Doherty (The Invitation, "Gossip Girl"), Paul Reiser ("Reboot", "Stranger Things") and Laurie Metcalf (Columbine, Theater Kids) will round out the cast of Alex Conn's latest directorial effort. Doherty will play a friend of the couple leading the film (played by Alex Wolff and Olivia Cooke). Reiser will play a publisher, while Metcalf will play Wolff's mother.
Dandelion: Stanley Tucci (The Giver, The Betrothed) and Jake Johnson (Alan Wake, Ride the Eagle) have joined Steven Soderbergh's latest film, Dandelion. They will play co-workers of George MacKay's at a storage unit. The supernatural mystery film was written by Ben Collins.
Red Sonja: Blood + Bone: Rosa Salazar (Red Sonja, "Brand New Cherry Flavor") is set to reprise her role from the first Red Sonja as Anissia, an enslaved young woman. New faces to the series in this film will be Florian Munteanu (Creed II, The Contractor), Wyatt Oleff (Born in Brooklyn, Peter and the Shadow Thieves), Tony Revolori (To The Max, The Long Dumb Road) and Solomon Hughes ("Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty"). Munteanu will play a loyal follower of the villain, Oleff will play a young prince, Revolori will play a thief, and Hughes will play the prince's personal guard. Lexi Alexander is back to direct the fantasy adventure from a script by Roy Horne.
Undefeated Abe: It's already been leaked that Adam Driver (Rookie's Road, Lowell) is set to play Abraham Lincoln in a film this season. But rather than telling the story of any of his political endeavors, this film will explore the urban legend that Lincoln was a profesional wrestler before he was a president. Kurt Russell (Citizen, Cold) has also joined the film as Lincoln's father. Ron Howard (The Beatles, Thirteen Lives) is set to direct from a script by Joshua Collins (Knight Ridger, Calvin and Hobbes).
Blue Beetle: Legacy: Avan Jogia (Teen Titans, Justice League International) is once again back as Jaime Reyes, the Blue Beetle, in another DC Comics Universe film. In his second solo film, the first starring Jogia though, Reyes will face off against the Black Beetle. Signing on for the villainous role will be Eion Bailey (Audible, "From"). Robert Rodriguez (Road Rash, Blue Beetle), director of the first film, will only serve as producer of this entry. Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard, Joe Bell) has signed on to direct instead. APJ has not returned to write this film, with the script instead being handled by Jimmy Ellis (Silver Sable, Grayson).
Friday the 13th: A classic horror franchise is set to make a return to the big screen, with Last Resort Films producing a new Friday the 13th film. Allie Marie Evans (47 Hours to Live, Rock Steady Row), Daniel Cudmore ("Helstrom", Corrective Measures), Topher Grace (Black Hole, Lock Every Door) and Robert Wisdom (Motherless Brooklyn, Vacation Friends) have all been cast in this film. Evans will play a troubled young woman who gets a job at the soon to re-open Camp Crystal Lake. Cudmore will play the infamous Jason Voorhees, who is regarded as an urban legend in this film. Grace will play the camp's new owner, while Wisdom will play a local sheriff. Patrick Lussier (Trick, Drive Angry) is directing this reboot from a script by Jack Brown (OZ).
