Plot: Flynn (Mads Mikkelsen) catches his breath, as Charlie (Storm Reid) grabs a stick and pokes the dead body next to him. Flynn waves that he’s dead, yet Charlie kicks it to make sure, he’s dead. Flynn, somewhat weakly, grabs his gear and heads back to the bike. He waits for Charlie to get back on the guest seat, Flynn revs the engine just as Charlie straps in. They ride off, not seeing a mutated bird pick up what’s left of the cannibals' corpse. They travel a safe distance before Charlie utters a word, she asks if they’re there yet. After a few minutes of annoyance and bothersome from Charlie, Flynn stops at a huge sign that he recognizes.
Charlie looks in awe as a fire tower is shown in front of them, Flynn looks back in appreciation and does a charming smirk at her. He gets off and shows her the way, Charlie mentions she’s never seen these things before. He opens a gate and climbs the gigantic ladder, with Charlie following him soon after. Flynn opens the door and lets Charlie inside, she’s left speechless seeing the number of supplies and weapons. Two beds, enough food and water, and a giant nap near a window. Flynn opens his cabinet and finds a new notebook, as his old one has been damaged.
Charlie opens a back door and is blinded by the beauty of the sunset, Flynn checks his broken watch, it’s currently 5 pm. Charlie looks down and tells him she’s afraid of heights, Flynn writes down that she’ll be okay here with him and everything inside will keep them alive. He adds a little note, you’re my friend. After reading it, Charlie hugs him, and Flynn embraces her. He looks to the sunset and remembers one more thing he has to do.
